MAS 2A
The Wittmann Battenfeld MAS 2A is a conventional granulator, based on its MAS 2 counterpart, that features an auger. It features the same identical open rotor and 247 x 255 mm cutting chamber as the MAS 2 with a low rotational speed of 200 rpm, garunteing a uniform regrind and minimal fines.
It offers the standard features of a larger auger trough, 600 x 280 mm in size, for wider runners. A knife located above the screw to avoid large and soft runners from wrapping around the screw. It also possesses several option features including a remote control box, a METALSTOP, a high level indicator, a connector for water cooling, an automatic reversing system for the auger, an auger feed throat height of 524 mm, and a hopper directly on the auger feed throat for robot or conveyor feed.
