The Wittmann Battenfeld MINOR 2A granulators are a screenless and low speed model made for hard and brittle materials. Its low speed of 27 rpm combined with its high torque offers the most efficient and cost effective grinding of glass-filled plastics. The screenless technology also allows for no “”longs”” and a uniform regrind with minimal fines for efficient re-processing. Its single pass processing means there is less wear on cutting tools for reduced maintenance, low sound level, and low power consumption
It includes the standard features of a 360° vacuum take-off for evacuation flexibility, a stainless steel regrind collection bin, and a pre-cutting knife to avoid runners from wrapping around and jamming the feed screw. It also offers several additional features, including metal detection in the auger by METALSTOP, a water-cooled cutting chamber and/or auger for processing hot materials, an Automatic Reverse System on the auger rotor, a Hopper on the auger for robot or conveyor feeding, and a high level sensor for the regrind bin level
